Join our signature monthly movie night series, Lotus Lens Screening, hosted at Blooms Emporium Chinatown on Thursday, March 26, 7-10 pm. This ongoing gathering (on the last Thursday of every month) is an invitation to slow down, watch films from Asia and the diaspora, and come together in community through shared reflection. Each evening will begin with a film screening followed by an intimate discussion for those who’d like to stay and reflect together. Our March screening features Manila in the Claws of Light (1975), directed by Lino Brocka: "Mixing visceral, documentary-like realism with the narrative focus of Hollywood noir and melodrama, Manila in the Claws of Light is a howl of anguish from one of the most celebrated figures in Philippine cinema."
Additional proceeds will support the Georgia Asylum and Immigration Network (GAIN). Blooms Emporium is a small, art-filled space - seating is limited, and guests are encouraged to bring cushions, blankets, or anything else that helps you get comfortable. You’re also welcome to bring your own snacks and drinks; options are also available for purchase at the event. Tickets can be purchased beginning March 1, 2026. Purchase tickets here.
