Join us for a Lotus Lens Screening of Yi Yi (2000), Edward Yang’s expansive and deep exploration of family, memory, and everyday life in Taipei. Spanning generations, the film follows a middle-class family as they navigate moments of joy, grief, and quiet revelation. This ongoing gathering at Blooms Emporium Chinatown (on the last Thursday of every month) is an invitation to slow down, watch films from Asia and the diaspora, and come together in community through shared viewing and reflection. Each evening will begin with a film screening followed by an optional discussion for those who’d like to stay and reflect together. Blooms Emporium is a small, art-filled space - seating is limited, and guests are encouraged to bring cushions, blankets, or anything else that helps you get comfortable. You’re welcome to bring your own snacks and drinks; options are also available for purchase at the event. Tickets are $15 with additional proceeds supporting Georgia Asylum Immigration Network (GAIN).
Tickets will be available to purchase starting June 1, 2026. Purchase tickets here.
